Every kid loves pizza! We’ve crafted a vegetable pizza recipe to try at home with your kids! While it may get messy in the kitchen, it is a load of fun!
DEEP DISH VEGETABLE PIZZA
Yields: 16 slices
2 Pizza Dough Shells
2 cups Tomato sauce
1 tbsp Fresh garlic, chopped
⅔ tbsp. Oregano
⅔ tbsp. Basil
1 tbsp Oil
5 Onions, sliced
5⅓ cups Mushrooms, sliced
⅓ tbsp. Pepper, ground
2 lbs Broccoli pieces
2 lbs Partly skimmed mozzarella cheese, grated
- In a large bowl, combine tomato sauce, garlic and spices. Stir into mix
- Heat oil in skillet; add onions and cook until tender (about 5 minutes)
- Add mushrooms and continue to cook over medium heat. Sprinkle with pepper.
- Steam broccoli and set aside
- Spread tomato sauce evenly over pizza dough. Cover with broccoli, mushrooms and onions. Top with grated cheese.
